Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Necory ("we", "us") for using the Necory mobile app and necory.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What Necory is
Necory is a personal AI knowledge vault: a chat interface backed by an AI assistant that saves, organizes, and recalls content you choose to store — notes, links, photos, documents, voice notes, places, reminders, personal money records, and facts you ask it to remember — in English, Arabic, and Spanish.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Necory. If you are under 18, you may only use it with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. One-time codes are for you alone — never share them; we will never ask for them.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Your content
- It's yours. You keep all rights to everything you save in Necory.
- License to operate. You grant us the limited license needed to run the Service: to host, store, back up, index, process, and display your content back to you — including processing it through the third-party AI and infrastructure providers named in our Privacy Policy — solely to provide and secure the Service. This license ends when your content is deleted.
- Your responsibility. Only save content you have the right to save, including content about other people (names in your ledger, shared photos, and similar).
- Export anytime. Settings → Export gives you a complete archive on any plan.
4. The AI, honestly
- AI-generated responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Verify anything important before acting on it.
- Necory is not professional advice of any kind — not financial, legal, medical, or tax advice.
- The money ledger is a personal record-keeping tool. Balances are computed by our servers from the entries you made; the ledger is not an accounting system, does not create or prove legal debts, and is only as accurate as what you told it.
- Reminders depend on your device honoring notifications and alarms. Allow the permissions the app requests, and don't rely on Necory alone for safety-critical reminders (medication, deadlines with legal effect, and similar).
5. Plans, limits, and fair use
- Free: 10 AI messages/day, 100 MB storage, photo attachments (1 per message).
- Pro: 200 AI messages/day, 10 GB storage, photo/document/audio/location attachments (up to 6 files per message, 3 documents).
- Daily message counts reset each day (UTC). Limits exist to keep the Service fast and affordable; don't attempt to circumvent them.
- Over-quota policy: if your stored data exceeds your plan's limit (for example after a downgrade), nothing is deleted — your data stays readable, searchable, and exportable; only new uploads and saves pause until you're under the limit.
- We may adjust features and limits as the Service evolves; material changes to paid features will be communicated in advance.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription: $9.99/month or $59.99/year (USD), billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel in your store account (App Store → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions) at least 24 hours before the period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription.
- Price changes will be communicated per your store's rules before they apply to you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their store policies, as we don't process payments directly.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Necory to:
- break the law, or store or generate content that is illegal where you or we operate;
- violate others' rights — including storing other people's personal data you have no right to hold;
- probe, disable, or circumvent security or integrity measures (including app-attestation), access other users' data, or interfere with the Service;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law grants that right; scrape or access the Service by automated means outside the app;
- resell the Service or abuse free-plan limits through multiple accounts.
8. Suspension and termination
- You can stop anytime: delete your account in Settings — see Account deletion for the 30-day recovery window and what gets erased.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users or the Service, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and, unless prohibited, give you a chance to export your data.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (your ownership of content, disclaimers, liability limits) survive.
9. Our intellectual property
The Necory app, website, brand, and everything we built to run them remain ours. These terms don't grant you any right to our name, logo, or code beyond using the Service as intended.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it fast, correct, and online, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and — as Section 4 says — AI output can be wrong. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence remain unaffected. (Cap amounts and phrasing identified for legal review.)
12. Changes to the Service or these terms
We may update the Service and these terms. For material changes to the terms we'll notify you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them. The current version always lives at necory.com/terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. (The specific jurisdiction and venue clause is identified for legal review before launch.)
